On A Cloudy Day
By Shirley R. Fluharty

A cloudy day
Can bring joy to your heart
For it holds the rain
That help the flowers start

And behind each cloud
The sun hangs true
And it will shine brightly
For me and you

A cloudy day
Can bring peace to your mind
For it's there your eyes drift
When a gray skys behind

And you know so soon
That the suns bright rays
Will bring joy and happiness
In your path this day

For tho clouds dim the light
Of a brand new day
Standing right behind
Is God's love displayed

Treasured Memories
By Shirley R. Fluharty

I'm treasuring memories
As I sit here alone
Of a precious dear loved one
My Lord has called home
And I think of the times
Then so little was I
When I'd sit on her lap
As she'd soften my cry
Then she'd tell me a story
Bring a smile to my face
As I cuddle up tightly
In her arms full of grace
Then she'd brush off the damages
Give a pat full  of love
And off I would scramble
With just a slight shove
Yes I'm treasuring memories
As I sit here alone
For I kow that God needs here
To spread love 'round His throne
So tho I will miss her
There's a piece of  her here
For it will live on in her children
God gave her so dear.

Send Me A Miracle
By Shirley R. Fluharty

Send me a miracle
Could you send it today
For this one precious child
In this bed where she lay
Put in all the new parts
That are needed for her
Cause the doctors have said
That a miralce could occur
And you said in Your Word
What I ask in Your name
Could be done here on earth
For those hurt or in pain
So, Oh, Lord please hear
And put life all anew
In that precious child
That she'd grow to praise You
And send me a miracle
Could you send it today
For this one percious child
In this bed where she lay

Sisters
By Shirley R. Fluharty

What does a sister mean to me
As a babe, she's precious as can be
To hold and cuddle, she'll smile and coo
As she looks in your face, with big eyes of blue
And as years progress a
nd we older get
We play, play together the time well spent
Until one day in an awful way
We disagree on how to play
But soon the anger to disappear
And loving eyes again so dear
Then full grown is our way of life
With children now each day a wife
Still sisters we and all can see
Her love for me and mine for she
Oh sisters, what they mean to me
A lasting love and friend is she
And I thank my Lord
That He sent to be
A special sister just for me

My Family
By Shirley R. Fluharty

Oh my family
That God gave to me
Oh so many years ago
And I know He loved me from the start
For he filled with love my heart
Oh our moms are special
With gentleness
And our fathers arms so strong
But I'm thankful most
'Bout His name I'll boast
For my Jesus made my family.

I'll Walk the Walk
By Shirley R. Fluharty

I'll walk the walk that Jesus chose
For my family and me
I'll pray for guidance, love and peace
As His calling now I see

I'll walk the walk that Jesus chose
Tho doubt may fill the day
I'll not look back or question why
He'd have me go this way

I'll walk the walk that Jesus chose
With joy deep in my heart
Tho sadness of my leaving friends
Who've come to be a part

I'll walk the walk that Jesus chose
With joyfulness and glee
And thankfulness now fills my heart
That my God still uses me

A Special Girl
By Shirley R. Fluharty

My daughter's been a special girl
A big part of my life
I watched her grow from a little girl
To a loving caring wife

She always seemed so strong to me
Her fears were not intent
She married very young in life
Her days they were well spent

A little girl upon my lap
It seems so long ago
We used to hug and cuddle here
As we watch the falling snow

She'd look right up into my eyes
A big smile cheek to cheek
Then tiny fingers on my  lips
A gentle kiss she'd seek

We'd rock, I'd sing a lull-a-bye
Her eyes they flutter close
As sleepy eyed this child so fair
My kiss upon her nose

And quietly now I lay her down
So precious as she sleep
My prayer, Dear Lord in Heaven now
Protect and her soul keep

Yes my daughter's  been a special girl
A big part of my life
And not a single day goes by
That I don't thank God for her life

In Between
By Shirley R. Fluharty

I'm in between the there and here
And wonder how life's path did wear
How you could go thru half your life
So full of joy and full of strife
Then fix your eyes on life today
And wonder how it got that way
For once just like a chandelier
My life was bright and full of cheer
But as I trod the path of life
Each day another day of strife
So gradual, one could hardly tell
These days of strife were hidden well
And then one day a bulb went out
But wasn't noticed, cause the light was stout
And each day after, another grew dim
Yet no one even noticed Him
Until one day it was quite clear
There was no light from the chandelier
Now my life, like the chandelier
That once shown bright and oh so clear
Seems dark with bulbs that need replacing
For brand new life I now am facing
But thru God's grace, each day on cue
He'll replace each bulb, with one brand new
Until my life again peer's bright
To all the world, like Jesus' light
I'll live my life for all to see
That Jesus Christ lives life thru me
And just like that old chandelier
My light shines bright and oh so clear

Let your light shine before men in such a way,
that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father who is in Heaven
Matthew 5:16

And I was daily His delight
Proverbs 8:30
