What Does A Grandma Mean To Me
By Shirley R. Fluharty

What does a grandma mean to me
Let's look thru Jesus' eyes to see
A grandma once a child so small
A young adult that grew so tall
Once a mother of  her own
With a loving gentle overtone.

And then those children she once raised
With hugs and kisses she displayed
This love so deep non could ere' deny
They'd grown and never question why.

And start a family of their own
With grandma they'd not be alone
For just as kisses once dished out
She'd saved some back there is no doubt
What does a grandma mean to me
Let's look thru Jesus' eyes to see.

This is Thomas Bently Bowman
my dad's father.

A Grandpa Is
By Shirley R. Fluharty

A grandpa is
A creative whiz
A gentle smiling nature his
His strong but tender loving way
With tears of laughter he'll display
All the love you'd hope to find
All rolled up in this one of a kind
His pockets hide the nicest things
Like candy, toys, he always brings
And stories he can ever tell
Of years gone by, he knows it well
He'll sit you on his lap awhile
And hug your neck until you smile
Then take you for the greatest walk
As all the while, you two just talk
I thank you, God, You sent to me
A grandpa who's so lovingly
A grandpa is.

My Family
By Shirley R. Fluharty
Oh my family
That God gave to me
Oh so many years ago
And I know He loved me from the start
For He filled with love my heart

Oh our mom are special
With gentleness
And our fathers arms so strong
But I'm thankful most
Bout His name I'll boast
For my Jesus made my family.

And I was daily His delight
